Jorge Frascara is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Alberta and a Fellow of the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada. He was an advisor to the ISO (International Standards Organisation) and to the Canadian Standards Council on design principles for the comprehension, placement, and size of graphic symbols in large public spaces. He has worked on advertising, animation, publications, social marketing and information design. His practice covers a wide variety of clients, cultures and projects. From 1992 to 2004 he was a researcher and consultant for the Mission Possible Coalition, a Canadian multi-agency group dedicated to the promotion of traffic safety.
