Bio

Andreas Simon has studied Computer Science with a focus on interactive systems, computer graphics and computer vision at the TU Berlin and the MIT Media Lab in Boston. He holds a Masters Degree in Computer Science. His main interests are the research and development of immersive display systems and spatial interaction, and more recently the integration of usability research methods in design. He has worked as a researcher in the area of User Interfaces, Virtual and Mixed Reality at the Heinrich Hertz Institut, Berlin, the Fraunhofer Institut, Stuttgart, and the Gesellschaft für Mathematik und Datenverarbeitung, Bonn where he has lead numerous national and international research projects. Since 2005 Andreas is lecturer and senior researcher at the Institute for Research in Art and Design at the HGK FHNW in Basel.
